    The classic piano trio in jazz defines<\/em> genres. With their inaugural full-length<\/em> release, the Up and Over Trio pays tribute<\/em> to the legacy of the trios that have come<\/em> before it, yet they try to find a unique<\/em> space in this musical biome. The trio<\/em> explores the gamut of sounds available<\/em> to the modern jazz piano trio through<\/em> original compositions. Taking influence<\/em> from the classic trios of the past, the trio<\/em> cultivates a new sound for themselves,<\/em> which is intriguing and inviting.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As individuals, the trio\u2019s members have<\/em> cultivated considerable careers as side<\/em> persons. As a rhythm section, the trio<\/em> has accompanied various renowned<\/em> artists. Now for the first time, the trio<\/em> allows itself to step out and be a singular<\/em> voice that combines their influences and<\/em> experiences. The trio pushes forward into<\/em> interesting sonic landscapes yet remains<\/em> rooted in the jazz tradition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
